Feed Requirements
S.P.R. Centre stock a large range of horse feed and supplements to meet all your needs, from good-doers to those who have difficulty with keeping on weight. Joint Relief
For horses suffering from stiff and aching joints, we stock large range of products to help your equine friend find things a little bit more comfortable. These include: NAF - Superflex, NAF - Superflex Liquid, NAF - Devils Relief, Equine America - Cortaflex, Global Herbs - Move Free Powder, Global Herbs - Move Free Liquid, Global Herbs - Bute X and Gold Label - Bute Free Liquid.
Restricted Turnout
Some horses will find that restricted turnout, and very little exercise will make them over excitable. S.P.R. Centre stock a great range of calming products which include: Top Spec - Calmer, NAF - Magic Calmer, Global Herbs - Magcalm, Global Herbs - Super Calm and Dodson & Horrell - Placid.
Field Conditions
Summer inevitably brings rain showers and some horses and ponies can be prone to mud fever which is a nasty bacterial condition that causes swelling, inflammation and pain. Stop this before it starts with one of the following barrier creams: NAF - Mud Gard, Net-Tex -Barrier Cream, Net-Tex - De-Scab and Net-Tex - Muddy Disinfectant. We also stock NAF - Mud Gard Supplement, Global Herbs - Mud X Powder and Global Herbs - Mud X Syrup to protect from the inside.
Stable Care and Hygiene
Why not treat your horse or pony to a stable toy such as the Boredom Breaker or Snack-a-Ball to keep them from the frustrations of being cooped up in a stable for periods of time. Licks are also a good way of preventing boredom whilst adding essential vitamins and minerals to their diet. Stable Hygiene is also very important. Keep your horse stable fresh and clean with one or two of these products: Gold Label - Stable Fresh - a fresh smelling liquid disinfectant, Stablezone - Bedding Powder which keeps ammonia to a minimum, Bio- VX - a powerful disinfectant which also cancels out all ammonia smells and Vanodine - the ultimate fungicidal and virus killer.
Allergies
Some horses may suffer from dust allergies leading to coughing and/or runny noses. To help avoid these symptoms, keep them on Bliss - Citronella or Bliss - Eucalyptus, Easibed or Dice a Bed (shredded paper), Feed Soaked Hay or the more popular Haylage.

Hoof Condition
Hooves are also put under pressure from wet weather leading to muddy paddocks and fields. Applying Oz Oil - Fresh Frog will help to prevent thrush and hoof puncture, and is a very useful item to keep in your first aid kit. Cleanliness
Keeping your horse clean can be quite challenge. Using Carr & Day & Martin - Mane and Tail Conditioner will help prevent mud and bedding becoming stuck in the horses mane and tail, whilst Net-Tex - Seven Day Mud Away is a real timesaver on the body. Essential Worming
Worming is probably the most important part of keeping your horse or pony strong and healthy. Missing a week or two 'here and there' will not save you any money, but may cause expensive visits to the vet - and we all know what such visits are likely to cost! Now is the time to target tapeworm. Either with a double dose of Strogid-P, or a single dose of either Equimax or Pramox.
